How to Find Official Restaurant Menu Updates

A step-by-step approach to finding the correct menu, checking local availability and avoiding outdated price lists.

A step-by-step approach to finding the correct menu, checking local availability and avoiding outdated price lists.

How to use this guide: Start with the restaurant’s own current menu and a basket that reflects the food you actually want. All examples are for explaining the method unless an official current source is explicitly linked.

Identify the official domain

When a search result offers a menu, check whether it belongs to the restaurant itself. A third-party menu summary can be helpful for discovery, but it should link to its source and avoid claiming to be the official site.

Brand names can appear in unrelated web domains. For ingredient safety, opening hours, promotions and checkout prices, prefer the restaurant’s own information.

Select the correct branch

Some websites ask for your postcode or preferred branch before showing the relevant products and offers. Complete that step before interpreting prices as available to you.

A national landing page may show example categories but not the item selection at a particular railway station, town centre or motorway service area.

Check the date and order channel

Confirm whether you are looking at dine-in, collection or delivery. Read offer dates and restrictions. An old blog page can still be indexed after a limited-time product has disappeared.

A stated update date is useful only when the page’s claims were genuinely reviewed. Do not mistake a dynamically displayed current date for evidence that individual prices have been rechecked.

Save the relevant source

If a specific item is important, keep the official page link and make a note of any item size, location or promotion. Some menus are dynamic, so the restaurant app or basket may show more current details than a public summary page.

If a product is no longer present, check the official site or contact the branch instead of assuming it is still for sale.

What you can report to AllMenus

If you spot a broken official link, a menu category that no longer exists or an out-of-date product example on AllMenus, use the correction contact form. Include the page URL and preferably an official source showing the change.

We do not guarantee instantaneous updates. Transparent corrections and dated checks help readers know what can and cannot be relied upon.

Put it into practice

Choose the relevant official restaurant menu from our directory. Note the branch, ordering channel and specific products, then use the meal budget calculator or two-quote comparison to test your choices. For allergen needs, check the restaurant’s official information and speak to staff.

This independent guide provides planning information, not live menu prices, medical allergy advice or a guarantee that a particular product is available.
